How To Handle Playing Time

Playing time is always a big issue when it comes to competitive sports. Most players and parents have a hard time addressing it when it occurs.  The best solution in my opinion is for the player to have a sit down meeting with the coach and ask him or her exactly what do they ned to do to get more playing.

The coach response may require the kid to step out of there comfort zone and work on an area that they may struggle. For example; if shooting is one of your strong suits, but your coach is in need of a defense of player. Then you will need to become a defense of player to get more playing time.
