6 Secrets to Separating Yourself From the Pack

1.    Be the first at practice and the last to leave practice…

  • Be willing to put in extra work. Be the first to the gym and the last to leave the gym. This will speak volumes to your coaches and players.

2.    Be willing to work harder than anyone and everyone….

  • Don’t be afraid to get on the floor and get dirty. Always go the extra mile to giving your best effort and sacrificing your body.

3.    Know your Strengths and Weakness….

  • Be smart. Know what skills you do very well and skills that you need to improve upon.

4.    Respect your competition….

  • Beware that your competition is their to make you better. Always show respect to your competition.

5.    Be a great teammate and be unselfish….

  • Always make the extra pass whenever you have the opportunity. Let your teammates know that it’s not about you and that you trust them. Your teammates will respect you for that.

6.    Know the game….

  • Make sure you know the game. It’s important that you have a high I.Q. of the game. Most players fail because they lack the understanding of the game; how to get open, when to shoot the pull up jumper, how create their own offense, how to play without the ball and how to play team defense.
